About the Fw 190:
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 was a pivotal variant of the German Fw 190 fighter aircraft, which played a critical role during World War II. Introduced in 1944, the A-8 was one of the most produced versions of the Fw 190, designed to improve on the already formidable performance of earlier models.
The Fw 190A-8 was powered by the BMW 801D-2 radial engine, which provided it with a top speed of around 408 mph (656 km/h). It was heavily armed with four 20mm MG 151 cannons and two 13mm MG 131 machine guns, making it a potent adversary in both air-to-air combat and ground-attack roles.
