Design
The PA-38 Tomahawk was Piper’s attempt to build a clean-sheet trainer with spin recovery in mind. Loved by some, questioned by others, it was definitely a unique chapter in training aircraft design. With its T-tail and straight wings, the Tomahawk handled differently than the more docile Cherokee. Still, many earned their wings in one—and have stories to tell. This shirt’s for the bold souls who learned the hard way.
