In 1943, a red border was briefly added to the star-and-bars roundel. It was carried on P-51 Mustangs, B-24 Liberators, and other aircraft. The marking was intended to improve visibility but was quickly replaced. Though short-lived, it remains one of the most distinctive U.S. insignias of WWII. This shirt preserves the rare design with a vintage, service-worn look.
